Check out our training calendar for training and workshops offered by Smart Start of Pender County. All trainings are held at Smart Start of Pender County, unless otherwise noted. Registration fees must be paid in advance by cash, check, or money order for each workshop. To register, you may stop by in person or mail the registration form and payment to Smart Start of Pender County, P.O. Box 429, Burgaw, NC 28425. Registrations for all training can be downloaded here. To register for Region 4 trainings please visit their website at http://puzzlesregion.com/events.php. After finding a workshop or training you would like to take, download and print a registration form. Mail it with payment to the Southeastern Child Care Resource and Referral office to the address listed on the form. The registration form for a Region 4 training must reach the regional CCR&R office a minimum of three days before the scheduled training date.

The parenting workshop BESST (Baby Easy Safe Sleep Training) is available by appointment

This workshop presents excellent tools to assist parents in raising awareness about and potentially reducing through education and prevention strategies, the incidence of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).  This workshop is FREE and open to PARENTS ONLY.
